Nancy Mueller Handal is a Managing Director in the Investments Department at MetLife. She is the Global Head of Structured Finance, responsible for a $70 billion portfolio of ABS, CMBS and RMBS. She oversees of a team of Structured Finance professionals, responsible for credit analysis, trading, risk management, strategy and surveillance. She also initiated and manages a $4.5B distressed, high yield RMBS fund.
Prior to leading the Structured Finance group, Ms. Handal was the head of the RMBS group. She has held various roles within Structured Finance including trading Agency and Non Agency CMOs and Pass Throughs and analyzing domestic and international ABS. Ms. Handal earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from The University of Michigan and her master's degree in business administration from The University of Rochester's Simon School of Business. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the NYSSA.
